I know it should be about wedding or love related but what love is more unconditional than that of a mother and child. I would have my canvas designed as a tribute to my son Darius. I would use a photo of him and a few words from the letter I wrote to him right before he was born. He changed my life and made me a much better person.

These are super cute. Thanks for the post!
Wednesday, June 24th 2009 at 9:42 am |
These canvases are a marvelous way to display a favorite wedding shot.
Wednesday, June 24th 2009 at 4:39 pm |
I love this idea! My fiance and I are really into photos and I think adding the lyrics from our first dance would be really special. Have you heard the song “I Found Love” by Kenny Wayne Shepard… mmmm so wonderful!
Wednesday, June 24th 2009 at 5:14 pm |
I would love to get our favorite song “Hands Down” by Dashboard Confessional printed with a picture from our upcoming wedding.
Wednesday, June 24th 2009 at 7:11 pm |
This is absolutely perfect! Quite possibly one of the best gift finds to date! Beautiful work!
Wednesday, June 24th 2009 at 11:42 pm |
This is such a great idea!! There are too many ideas for such a beautiful piece. I write poetry and have written my husband poetry since back when we were dating (for holidays or just because). For our 1 year wedding anniversary, I wrote a poem and framed it and gave it to him as an anniversary gift (gift of paper is the 1 year anniversary suggestion) So I think I’d choose a wedding photo and add the poem I wrote for him.
Thursday, June 25th 2009 at 12:14 am |
Oh boy!! These are awesome…I think I’d do my 3 kids or the 5 of us..together, just hanging out, being “us”.
Love this idea!
Thursday, June 25th 2009 at 9:09 am |
I LOVE this idea!!!! The artwork is beautiful! I would love to do this with a wedding picture of us (finally 9/6/09 it will be here!) and either one of the many poems I wrote for my fiance, one in particular comes to mind. Or our first dance song “in your Eyes” by peter gabriel, although it will acutally be sang by one of our groomsmen at the wedding. That would be awesome!
Thursday, June 25th 2009 at 12:00 pm |
These are truly works of art, amazing and something we would both treasure forever, featuring a snapshot from our upcoming wedding.
Thursday, June 25th 2009 at 2:25 pm |
I would put the lyrics to our song “Lovely Tonight” by Joshua Radin on it along with a picture of our first look from our upcoming wedding. My fiance was nothing I saw coming, my life was going in the opposite direction and he turned me around and showed me what REAL love was. We just bought a house and this would be a PERFECT addition to our new lives together.
Thursday, June 25th 2009 at 3:48 pm |
I love these canvases . . . I would use one of our wedding photos (although I am not sure which one yet) and use lyrics from our song . . . Our song is pretty unique and totally us!
Friday, June 26th 2009 at 12:04 am |
What a fabulous idea!! I would love to add one of these beautiful canvases to my master suite, especially since my hubby and I are celebrating our 7yr anni next month. I would use one of our beautiful wedding photos and it would read, “Happiness is forever, with God as the anchor.”
What a perfect anniversary gift!!
Friday, June 26th 2009 at 1:31 pm |
What a wonderful idea! I would use a photo of us from the day we were engaged. My fiance has given me a card every month we have been together and he has left numerous sticky notes on my mirror in the bathroom, in my car, in my lunchbox, all over! I would use one of my favorites and have those beautiful words (that always make me cry) printed on the canvas
Friday, June 26th 2009 at 1:32 pm |
I would love something that I can use for my business – a banner, a sign, or a display piece.
Tina

My one year anniversary is coming up. I would use one of my erotica pictures I took for my husband and write the chorus to the song he dedicated to me: Witchy Woman by the Eagles..
Friday, June 26th 2009 at 9:28 pm |
Wow! Let Stephanie know that her work rocks. If I would to win I would love a custom picture of my daughter. She is my one and only.
Great Post Jaime
Saturday, June 27th 2009 at 1:55 am |
Oooh, I would love to do a custom canvas of our family wedding photo, along with the vows from our ceremony.
Or maybe a pretty portrait of us, plus the lyrics of one of our favorite songs (Starting Line – “Island” – we did get married in Miami, after all!)
How can I choose?? Thanks for running this contest, Jaime.
Saturday, June 27th 2009 at 9:16 pm |
These are beautiful and so creative. I love that the options are endless…endless just like the love I feel for my husband. My ideal canvas would include a photo of us at our wedding and a few of the lyrics from Ben Folds The Luckiest.
Saturday, June 27th 2009 at 9:27 pm |
These are awesome!!
Saturday, June 27th 2009 at 10:07 pm |
I would use this one picture that was taken during our first dance sorta looking up at up. The look on our faces is true love. What a great way to be able to express and show your love if you have a hard time doing so. It would always be a reminder. Sometimes everyone needs one. Keep up the great work!
Tuesday, June 30th 2009 at 11:27 am |
These are really beautiful! I love how you can make them something more traditional or funk it up a bit w/the words! I’d love to get something like this of FH n I as we have so many pics I’ve always wanted to get framed but never gotten around to…
Tuesday, June 30th 2009 at 11:36 am |
Our wedding isn’t til Sept 26, but I would love to win. I’d use a photo from our big day… and would have to talk with Dan to figure out text to use. Or maybe I would use an engagement photo and surprise him with the canvas as a gift. Hmm… so many choices!
Tuesday, June 30th 2009 at 2:07 pm |
I love the idea of a custom canvas. I would use a photo of our twins and the words that we chose for our wedding song to go along with the picture.
Tuesday, June 30th 2009 at 2:18 pm |
I can’t think of a more beautiful way to display my grandchildren.
Tuesday, June 30th 2009 at 6:13 pm |
Personally, I’d either have one engagement photo on – sans words (after all, a photo speaks for itself!) or one of my boudoir photos as a gift for my fiance
Wednesday, July 1st 2009 at 5:42 pm |
Wow – I’m loving this contest! I have a friend who constantly reminds me that just a few short years ago, I made the statement that I don’t see myself getting married. I was having such bad luck in the world of love until I met my fiance! I now have a completely different perspective now on life and have so many positive things to focus on. I would use my favorite snapshot of my fiance and I would include all of the places we’ve been on dates in our city and all the vacations we’ve taken to remind us of all the truely important moments in life…those are the ones that matter.
Wednesday, July 1st 2009 at 9:41 pm |
My dh and I have always been on a very tight budget and have never been able to afford anything more than our proofs. Here we are almost 7 yrs later with an album full of proofs and some in frames. This would be perfect for us to finally start a family photo wall, and something this beautiful could be the center piece.
Thanks for contest Jaime!
Friday, July 3rd 2009 at 10:04 pm |
This is so awesome! I am actually getting married in 5 months and this would be a wonderful gift for my fiance and I if we won! I would love to put a recent photo of us on it as well as incorporating some of our love letters as text! What an awesome give away!
Monday, July 6th 2009 at 1:54 am |
This would be the perfect canvas to display at our wedding and then to have hang in our house once we are married! My fiance and I have been dating since my freshman year in highschool- that’s 7 1/2 years. In highschool, he would write sweet notes to me durign class and leave them in my locker or pass them to me during class change in the hallways. I’d love to use an excerpt from one of my favorites to print on the canvas with an engagement picture. It would be the perfect display to show where we started and how much our relationship has grown.
Monday, July 6th 2009 at 5:37 pm |
I heart geezees! I would use one of our engagement pictures that are going to be taken at the Neon Boneyard with the words “Lucky I’m in love with my best friend”–words from our first dance as husband and wife.
Tuesday, July 7th 2009 at 1:01 pm |
“Give me a kiss to build a dream on” Louis Armstrong.
I bought him a card that played that song one time and we danced in the living room for nearly an hour, opening and shutting that little card. I think the words should go around a shot of us dancing at our wedding…
Tammy, bride to be!!

I absolutely love this idea. I would love to have one of these for me and husband. What a wonderful way to remember and honor our wedding vows!!
Wednesday, July 8th 2009 at 11:44 pm |
I’m pregnant with my first baby and I would use it for that. Maybe a picture of my belly or the baby right after it is born.
Monday, July 13th 2009 at 5:25 pm |
I would like to use it for the entry way into my reception. We are doing a movie theatre theme so there would be so many things we could do with it, using our picture!
Tuesday, July 14th 2009 at 12:20 pm |
I’ve seen these before and I absolutely love them! I already know what I would do! Our song, since our first date… is Everything by Michael Buble – I would have that song written on the canvas… it says it all perfectly about how we feel about eachother!
Friday, July 17th 2009 at 1:58 pm |
Oh Jaim you always find the most amazing things!! I just adore this canvas!
Friday, July 17th 2009 at 3:47 pm |
My husband and I are celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary this year. I would love to have our picture with the song lyrics to Through the Years on the canvas. it would make a great gift that our entire family could treasure.
Sunday, July 19th 2009 at 4:06 pm |
I would love to design a canvas for my sister as a Maid of Honor gift. She got married last year, so I would use one of her wedding pictures and include the text of the song they used for their first dance – I Cross My Heart by George Strait.
Honestly, I’m going to get one of these regardless of whether I win or not – I LOVE these!
Tuesday, July 21st 2009 at 1:08 am |
I would use the below statement by Anita Diamant, one of our favorite writers. These words are being read at the beginning of our wedding and I would love to use the words in art for our home.
“Why marry? Because marriage publicly affirms the possibility of moving toward another person without reservation. With that momentum, we are propelled toward the center of the heart, toward the center of the universe, and however far that gets us is farther than we’d otherwise go alone. Why marry? Because every wedding enacts a personal connection to the universal story of the human hope for wholeness. Because by stepping into the hyperbarically charged space on the altar, the bride and groom join in a dance that goes all the way back to the beginning of memory. Getting married is an attempt at turning air into matter, transforming the ineffable workings of the heart into things that are “real”: the invitation, the dress, the ring. The words that constitute a wedding are magical incantations of the highest order. In the presence of witnesses, two people are pronounced a single unit. Every wedding is an invocation of peace and wholeness and connection and joy. Good wishes flow from family and friends, through history and community, with wings and prayers and everything that might turn out to be holy in the universe. We receive that shower of blessings, hoping with all our hearts to make them last.”

Ok I typically don’t go for this type of lovey stuff but these are done in a way that’s pretty cool. There are so many possibilities. I would love one for me and wife.
Tuesday, July 21st 2009 at 1:59 pm |
Our daughter, Kayla, is getting married next summer. Although a happy occasion, she will not have her grandmother or only brother Joshua there due to cancer and a motorcycle accident only 5 months apart. Kayla said they both taught her what true love was from the Bible’s 1st Corinthians 13, so I would have that scripture placed upon the canvas with one of her wedding photos of her choice.
Tuesday, July 21st 2009 at 9:02 pm |
I absolutely love this! My fiance and I are getting married next month but there will be a few very special people missing from the day. I would love to be able to have a picture of us and a picture of both our parents and grandparents from thier wedding days. I would also use the words from the ee cummings poem ” I carry your heart”. Since they are no longer with us it will mean so much to have them in our new home.
Wednesday, July 22nd 2009 at 1:12 pm |
I think I’d do the lyrics to our wedding song- “Everything” by Michael Buble. My fiancee picked our song, telling me that it’s bubbly and light hearted and it made him think of us.
Wednesday, July 22nd 2009 at 1:34 pm |
This is a great contest.
My idea for the canvas would be a great shot from our upcoming wedding and the song lyrics from Frank Sinatras “The Way You Look Tonight” which is a song has a lot of history and meaning to the both of us.
Wednesday, July 22nd 2009 at 2:34 pm |
I would have a picture of my husband to be and I with the words of our song, Van Morrison’s “Someone Like You” and it would be something to cherish for years to come and a momento for our future children
Lovely idea! I may order one for my wedding to display in honor of those than cannot be a part of our big day!
Wednesday, July 22nd 2009 at 10:39 pm |
I would use a photo from my friend’s wedding as well as some Bible verses. Maybe 1 Corinthians 13:1-13

My best friend and I are both engaged to be married. Currently, she is living in England however she is coming home to Canada for her wedding. She switched her wedding date so we could be a week apart and be in each others wedding parties. I would love to do the lyrics of their wedding song on canvas. It would be a unique gift just like our friendship.
Thursday, July 23rd 2009 at 2:45 pm |
This is a fantastic idea. Between me and my hubby to be we have 5 children. We have full custody of all of them. They are being honored and included in our ceremony. This would be an awesome to have for our family to treasure.
BTW – I love your site.
Thursday, July 23rd 2009 at 3:01 pm |
This is beautiful! My fiance and I are getting married in May. I would love to have a photo of us as well as the ee cummings poem that I am reading in our ceremony. This is my favorite poem:
i carry your heart with me
by e. e. cummings
i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

Friday, July 24th 2009 at 10:04 pm |
I love this idea! I would do a close up shot of our hands from the ceremony with the scripture from 1st Corinthians that we used in the wedding. Or maybe the lyrics to our last song of the night, Etta James’ At Last. So many options!!
Saturday, July 25th 2009 at 12:27 am |
