Learning A Lesson…

August 31, 2008

…About Work/Life Balance.

Ever feel overwhelmed?  Is your brain ever just way over-stimulated?  I feel that way right now.  But I enjoy the feeling – I like having things to do.  I love it, and I work well under pressure.  However, this weekend a friend I love very much opened my eyes and made me realize something important.

It’s about work/life balance.  Sometimes, I get so into projects, obsessing to master them, that I forget the time and get lost in my own little world of creativity.  This sometimes leads to me missing out on the other fun things in life.

What I have to realize is that my own little world isn’t the only world out there…so I’m learning.  From now on, I’m going to try to focus on balancing.  The only problem is that I’m not very graceful.  But I’m working on it!

Thanks to my friends and family for being patient, and thanks to the I Inspire Me blog for sharing this little crafty piece of inspiration.  One thing I love to be, is inspired!

What do you do to stay better balanced?  Especially if you’re planning a wedding, since I’ve been there and know just how crazy it can get.  Share your thoughts!

…Really Awesome New Wedding Bands ~ AND They’re Affordable!

Want to look like a million bucks on a small budget?  If you’re getting married and looking for high quality but affordable wedding bands that are marvelous, stylish and sentimental, Carved Creations is your answer.

Why, you ask?  According to THIS article from The Wall Street Journal, “All of the items cost less than $200.  Thanks to a new metal called “Platanium“.  Not Platinum.  Not Titanium.  Platanium!

Check out THIS Platanium LifeDates ring, with your wedding date carved in Roman numerals:

According to The Wall Street Journal, high-end jeweler John Christian, well known for their lavish line of personalized jewelry, was having a difficult time with it’s jewelry becoming out of reach for many customers.  This was due, of course, to our lovely weakened economy today and our fabulous gold prices shooting through the roof.

What did this smart company do to fix the issue?  Call Batman?  Nope.  Instead, they decided to reach out to a different crowd in the market (a.k.a. people like me who aren’t millionaires), by making a product using a stainless-steel alloy called “Platanium” – a lower cost alternative to expensive gold.  They gave it it’s own gorgeous site, called Carved Creations!

No go get your treasure!  Head on over to Carved Creations and take a looksie, I know you’ll love it!

Make Time.
